Dense fog all day as if it's not tough enough.....Covered many miles looking for the bait. Caught a couple fish when we finally stopped but it never turned on.
Finally found some fish rolling on top, got in the middle of the life and watched the customers throw every thing imaginable at them...Top Water, Large & Small shads, Jigs, yet we only managed a few fish out of it.
Patrick landed Two nice fish and Joe (JTP) took the pool with a nice 32 inch Bass.
Ran out to the Ocean and the current, NG. Actually finished up in the Bay where I read the bait and caught a few fish yesterday...Still NG! Not from lack of effort for sure. 5 good trips, one tough one, I'll take that record any day.
Back at it tomorrow! 7:30am Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90.

Wasn't sure if we would even get out this morning with the dismal start to the day..
Enough guys showed and we went fishing. It was painful to say the least for the first couple of hours, covered a whole bunch of area's looking for some life. The fish I read didn't bite but we kept working it hard.
After 4 1/2 hours of lighting candles and praying to the fish gods, a few birds started picking, a few fish started swirling, the bite turned on!!! Eric got his game back landing 7 fish, Dave had 5 or 6. Most had at least one fish and a couple guys with none.
I always tell my customers, Never quit till 3 whistles, you could be the guy who catches the Big one....today proved my point once again.
Giving it Hell everyday....7:30AM, Open boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90

After yesterday I needed a mental health day....saw the NE in the weather for today and couldn't wait to get back out there!
The morning was just a pick on several keepers in one area.....Started looking around and thought I saw life out in the Snot, took a ride and it was game on!!! All huge Bass up to 40 pounds..
Awesome bite while it lasted and everyone went home with the meat. First time Striper Fisherwoman Dawn hung in there and never quit, she landed 2 beauties and took the daily pool.
Times have changed and a day like today with the weather report years ago would have produced a boat load of customers, for the ones who did show, I'm sure they won't forget it.
Back at it in the AM....7:30 sailing. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90

I can honestly say in all my years running the boat, I have never seen this many boats out as there were today!
Trying to get on the bait was a nightmare, amazing that we caught anything. Did manage a couple handfuls of nice Keepers and a few that had to go back. High hook had 4 fish but there were many with non by the end of the day.
Very frustrating to say the least watching what goes on on a day like today....just have to shake my head and hope tomorrow is a better day.
NE tomorrow should stir things up!!
See you in the AM. 7:30 Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90

Went back to where we have been fishing.....Didn't see the life and only caught 1 fish on a couple drifts. Got out of there fast, went searching and found the bait.
First couple shots we had it all to ourselves away from the crowd....Traffic didn't matter as we had a nice bite most of the day. Shads and spoons in the beginning, life bait as the day went on.
Some Big babies going back with many guys landing multiple fish.
7:30 or earlier sailing on the weekend, we are at the boat at 5:30 for boarding!

See you in the AM!
