While thinking of my Sister yesterday who past 3 years ago to the day, I get the call that one of my best friends, Captain Bobby Sidorski had passed.
Bob owned and operated the Satellite after taking over the business from his Dad "Whitey", originally from Highlands before moving to Atlantic Highlands in the early 80's. He ran my Sandy Hook Lady & the Fishermen from the early 90's into 2005. To say we had some of the best times of our lives together is an understatement!
He was the bigger brother and always ended our phone calls with "Love ya like a Brother" right till the end. Bob lost his wife Donna to cancer several years ago and had to raise his two beautiful children Bobby Jr. & Samantha "Sam" all by himself....I think he did an awesome job as they both turned out to be awesome....he even was blessed to have a Grandchild if only for a short time, Bobby Jr. the 3rd.
My heart is broken once again, the only joy I feel this time of year anymore is the fact that all these folks who passed before me were such a good mark on my soul. I shed the tears because I have been blessed to have had them in my life.
Until we sail again Captain.......Love ya like a Brother.

Today was our last trip for the 2022 Season, the fat lady has sung!
Spent the last two days running all over the ocean trying to find a decent bite and only landing a handful of fish. The Bait & fish moved South over the past couple of days and it's just out of reach for us.
The past 6 1/2 weeks were without a doubt the best fall fishing I have ever seen, for all those who got to par-take, some many times, we were all blessed.
Thank you so much to all my awesome customers for the support not only this season but all the seasons past, you guys and gals make me who I am.
I couldn't do it without the Best crew on the Jersey Shore though.....Joey, Robbie, Jimmy (Bro),Capt. Dan, June and the Queen who keeps me in check! The love for the game keeps us all going.
Have a Great Christmas & Happy New Year. We will see you for the Sea Bass opening in May!
Bless you All,
Capt. Ron
Tried a new area first thing in the AM, found some bait and a few small fish, not what I expected from the readings. We were almost to the end of the tide and I didn't want to waste anymore time so we got the Hell out of there and took a ride.
Found all the life we needed for the rest of the day with another awesome bite! When we got into the Bunkers we found the bigger bass....this time of year a 32-34 inch Bass are the bigger bass. Pool fish went 36 inches.
Flat calm Ocean, Lot's of action, Happy Customers, Happy Crew, Happy Captain! Doesn't get any better than that!!!!
YES, we are sailing in the AM. 7:30 Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down the Bass are biting. The Fat lady ain't singing yet!!!
Capt. Ron
Another good Bass fishing day today with plenty of action.
Always trying to get away from the crowd but it never works out....the AM was like fishing on a Saturday until we took a ride. Found some very good life and a Hot bite with a few nicer fish in the Mix.
Richie landed the Pool fish at 34 inches, Ray had one that came close at 33 inches. Everyone went home Happy except me for having to deal with the Dog & Pony show, especially from the "So Called experienced Captains".
Next two days look like crap.....See you on Friday!
I Can't believe it's almost December, where did this season go? That melancholy feeling I get every year is creeping into my bones, Joey said the same thing this morning. It's like we know it's going to end but never want it too!
7:30AM. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down, Fare is $90.
