Decided to close out the Fluke fishing today.
Running all over the ocean to catch a hand full of fish isn't my idea of good fishing. We start bottom fishing on Sunday same 3/4 day schedule. We have Clams for bait.
7:30-2:30pm. Open Boat, No Reservations. Fare is $90, Rod Rentals $20.
See you on Sunday, Capt. Ron
Tuesday & Wednesday will be our last fluke trips for 2025. Thursday is calling for another nasty day, so last chance the next couple of days.
Friday we start bottom fishing and Saturday we are not available, we do have a Charter. We will be bottom fishing every day there after till the Striped Bass show up hopfully by the third week of October.

Morning didn't start out so well, once again the Red in the morning is no joke!
Made our way out looking for short window to catch some fish. That didn't work out, headed back to calmer waters. Caught a handful of fish but it wasn't good, at least no-body puked and got to enjoy the beautiful day.
Going to be the same for tomorrow without the butt kicking. Bottom fishing soon...

See you in the AM...Capt. Ron
The best part of today, it was a beautiful day.
I knew we were going to have to bounce around looking for a bite that we could stick with, we caught a couple fish here and there. Nothing that would keep us in the same area for more than 2 drifts.
Ended up with a couple handfull's of keepers by the end of the day, pool fish at 5 pounds.
Once again, I would not call it good fishing. Fish are moving out, not moving in and what we catch now are the lazy ones that didn't get the memo!! Remember all those weeks when I was saying "Don't miss the bite"? Well, here we are.
Bottom fishing soon, I'll post about that after the weekend....never want to lose hope!!
Back at it in the AM....Capt. Ron
Looks like Friday will be our next trip.
This month has been horrible for us, too much Easterly weather creating swells which have killed the bite. Fish are moving out and trying to find a bite after the blow has been an effort to say the least...
We will still give it hell to try and catch the last of fluke that are leaving. Hoping the Porgies show soon so we can keep it going until the Sea Bass opens on the first of October. Hang in there, better fishing is coming!!! Capt. Ron
